DEKTON by Consentino

Immerse yourself in the endless design options of DEKTON by Cosentino.

Dekton by Cosentino is a new and innovative ultra- compact surface developed with TSP technology (Technology of Sintered Particles) by our R&D department. This original material is highly resistant to scratching and abrasion, it has very low porosity, so, it also offers maximum resistance to stains. Moreover, it has excellent colour stability due to its protection against UV rays, and it can be used in any climate as it won’t be damaged by heat and thermal shock, even that caused by freezing and thawing! The ultra-compact offers infinite design possibilities that are divided in five main collections: Dekton Solid Collection, Dekton Natural Collection, Dekton Tech Collection, Dekton Wild Collection, the new Dekton XGloss Solid, Natural Collection and Industrial Collection.

Features

Usable slab sizes: 124” x 54”. The design possibilities increase along with the range of applications in kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, wall cladding, and facades.

Available Thickness: 0.8cm, 1.2cm, and 2cm

High UV Resistance

Dekton is highly resistant to ultraviolet (UV) rays and has a superior colour stability so it doesn’t fade over time, making it the perfect choice for both interior and exterior applications.

High Scratch Resistance

Dekton® is a highly scratch-resistant surface. Domestic utensils will not scratch it. However, we do recommend the use of a chopping board to protect the utensils.

Stain Resistance

The new Dekton surface is highly resilient thanks to its low porosity, resisting accidental stains from domestic use as well as from chemical agents. Stains from red wine, coffee, ink, and rust can easily be cleaned.

High Fire and Heat Resistance

Dekton® boasts excellent resistance to high temperatures without compromising on its esthetics or features. Hot utensils, electrical appliances, pots and pans can all be placed directly on the surface without causing any damage to it.

Abrasion Resistance

Dekton® is even more resistant to abrasion than granite, which makes it the ideal surface for commercial applications and high-traffic areas such as flooring and facades. While other surfaces will show the effects of wear and tear over time, Dekton will last for the entire life of the product and will never need to be replaced or retouched.

Resistance to Freezing and Thawing

The low thermal expansion coefficient of Dekton® makes it resistant to thermal shock, going from heat to extreme cold. Its natural resistance to freezing and thawing make it the perfect material even for the most extreme cold environments.   Manufacturer’s website  Dekton Gallery

Alaska White Granite in the South Okanagan

With the help of designer, Catherine Combres of  “Can’t Wait to Decorate”, Penticton, this Okanagan homeowner selected Alaska White granite for the kitchen and main bathroom counters.

Alaska is made up of mostly feldspar and quartz. Rust-colored veins will appear on some of the slabs due to oxidation over millions of years. Because natural stone’s varied appearance has wonderful character it creates a one-of-a-kind effect everywhere it’s used.

One of the most popular stones among homeowners is Granite. Quarried from huge blocks, slabs are generally cut to ¾” or 1 ¼” thick and the faces are polished to the specified finish. Because stone is a natural product, no two pieces are exactly alike, which means each finished countertop, wall, floor, mantle, or sill in your home is distinctive. A New Approach to Kitchen Design: Tips from Caesarstone’s Experts

In recent years, Caesarstone’s global teams have seen and created a great deal of innovation in kitchen design. More traditional kitchen design concepts have been challenged by the desire to create ergonomic, efficient workstations that cater to the diverse needs and goals of each particular kitchen surface, as well as unique design styles and preferences. In an effort to help you benefit from their industry expertise, here are a few of the most recommended design tips:

Hit the Lights
Combining the natural, Mediterranean feel of of stone or tile floors with the elegance of several suspended lights can help create a warm atmosphere in your kitchen. Newer kitchens today tend to replace recessed lighting with various types of lights suspended from the ceiling and pendant lamps, allowing for a more personal touch in terms of style and design. This newly adopted lighting trend also enables you to get the most out of your floors and countertops, highlighting their natural shimmer and shine.

Nature’s Best
One of the most overwhelmingly popular trends in kitchen design is the use of natural materials and stones to create kitchen surfaces. With high durability and beauty, Caesarstone’s quartz-based surfaces have become a staple in the kitchen, expanding to new areas such as sinks and backsplashes (the area between the countertop and the cabinet). An essential element of these natural materials is its diverse range of colors and styles, allowing you to infuse your vision and color schemes into the natural, durable surfaces throughout your kitchen.

Smart Space

Maximizing storage space has always been a priority in the kitchen. But new, organization trends have incorporated dividers and sliding trays into cabinet and storage space, bringing order to previously chaotic kitchen areas. From shelf height to cabinet handles, when it comes to storage space, design is in the details. Creating your own smart, individualized structure for your cabinets can increase your kitchen’s functionality and allow you to enjoy its newly renovated atmosphere “to the last drop.”
