Canterbury by Cambria provides a modern update to a busy kitchen.

Rich, warm tones of wood, leather and stone, befitting of an ancient abbey or country manor one might find in Chaucer’s Canterbury in the southeast county of Kent.

Achieve a regal look with a refreshingly modern feel when use choose “Canterbury” Quartz by Cambria.

We love the choice of a dark backsplash and stainless faucet which also accent the clients existing oak cabinets.

Timeless Granite Surround Fireplace

Consider adding a granite surround to your fireplace. Marble, granite, limestone, travertine and slate fireplace surrounds are naturally beautiful and offer a contemporary, timeless look to your home. Create some contrast with the mantel to show off the beauty of the granite. Shown in this post: Black Galaxy.

Contemporary Cambria Quartz Kitchen

Recently completed, this Madeira client had no problem finding the perfect colour from Cambria to compliment the cabinetry, backsplash and flooring. Achieving a warm, contemporary look that will last a lifetime.

Cambria is a natural, quartz surfacing product making it perfect for a kitchen. Pure, natural quartz is one of the hardest and most common minerals on Earth. It has the natural look and feel of granite, but features superior performance because of its strength and durability. It’s nonporous and will not absorb food and liquids like granite does. And best of all, it is maintenance-free.

There are lots of colours and designs to choose from. Here’s a sampling of light-tones (similar to what’s shown in this photo). More can be found at the Cambria website, or book an appointment with us and see the samples first hand at our Penticton Showroom!

Alaskan White Granite

With the help of designer, Catherine Combres of  “Can’t Wait to Decorate”, Penticton, this Okanagan homeowner selected Alaska White granite for the kitchen and main bathroom counters.

Alaska is made up of mostly feldspar and quartz. Rust-colored veins will appear on some of the slabs due to oxidation over millions of years. Because natural stone’s varied appearance has wonderful character it creates a one-of-a-kind effect everywhere it’s used. One of the most popular stones among homeowners is Granite. Quarried from huge blocks, slabs are generally cut to ¾” or 1 ¼” thick and the faces are polished to the specified finish. Because stone is a natural product, no two pieces are exactly alike, which means each finished countertop, wall, floor, mantle, or sill in your home is distinctive. Chef’s Kitchen, Hester Creek Winery

Hester Creek’s new 23,000 sq ft winery was opened September 29, 2009. As granite was the material of choice for our wine shop and guest centre countertops we hired Madeira Stone to create these important finishes. They provided the quality workmanship and professionalism we sought, on time and on budget.

We have no hesitation in recommending Madeira Stone’s services.

Yours truly,
Robin Openshaw, Vice President
